Many expat children here in Phuket grow up with almost no contact with Thai people. The single contact they may have with local folks is with the teacher assistants in their own classroom and those who serve them. This sends out all types of mixed messages. Thai Guys Are Extremely Sensitive - Thai men are more sensitive than western men or they reveal it more. I've noticed it appears to be a good deal simpler to hurt a Thai man than it does a western man, and that means you do have to be careful about comments you make.
