It's an interesting run cause you're in L.A. then you'd come over to us and shoot and we shot this movie in 6 weeks and not only did we shoot in country Victoria, we went to Sydney for a couple of weeks we were on the outskirts of Sydney and then we went to Saigon so we where in 4 or 5 different locations in 6 weeks and you were also in L.A., also. Look I do not know how we did it but I know Judd [Apatow's] "This Is 40" producers, Goal Post producers and our film producers, we were just like, yeah let us get it work for Chris, let's get it work for everyone concerned, so look it was a great thing from start.

Seven days (the 23rd night of the last lunar month) prior to Tet, each Vietnamese family provides a good-bye ceremony for Ong Tao to go up to Heaven Palace. His job would be to make a yearly report to the Jade Emperor of the occasions of the family throughout the year.

Chris: Oh this is the end for you, (room laughs) for sure. It is been fantastic; when the movie was kind of taken by me on I actually believed it was really going to be a bit independent Australian film. Wayne offered me the component like the week after "Bridesmaids" came out and I kind of believed it would be an enjoyable thing to go off and do something rather modest and something very different and if I knew that it was really going to be successful I 'd of turned it down. Day 1 - The roads of the Old Quarter are actually a fascinating encounter. You need to let a day for rambling, map in hand. You'll get a close up view of the life of working Vietnamese now. The roads all specialise in one kind of commodity. So you've got shoe road, towel road, tin-maker street, toy street, paper, rope - the list goes on..and on, it certainly makes for easy shopping! Follow the map from a Lonely Planet, or the local tourist information maps from your hotel, should you want to ensure you do not miss some of the best streets.

3) I got odd looks asking for take away food in 2008. Notably coffee. Perhaps, in part because in Canada we call it "take out". But because it was inconceivable for the Vietnamese that a person wouldn't have time to sit and drink a cup of coffee. Now you can get "take away" everywhere, part of the westernization of the vietnam culture, especially in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnamese girls in Vietnam (Con Gai Viet) follow the traditional custom. The guy goes out to generate income along with the wife stays home to look after the children as well as the family to take. This is really a good habit, isn't it? To put it differently, most Vietnamese girls in Vietnam is dependent on their husbands for everything. So if his wife to be abused by the man, she will not dare to leave him. She has no money. This really is the first thing they care about. I have many Vietnamese men beat their wives in the home and in public, these women still remain with their husbands. They reside as a dependent on their husbands, so they can not leave the house out. Their husbands for a living affect Vietnamese girls in Vietnam.
