I Have become a happier person than I was when I lived in America since I moved to Thailand years ago. Most Americans who live in Thailand say the exact same thing. As an American living in Thailand, I Have consistently noticed how much happier Thai folks are too than your average American who always seems to be upset about something. A large number of western expats move to Thailand every year and, in my opinion, the happiness of the Thais and the relaxed culture has a lot to do with it. But what makes Thais joyful as a people? And why are Thais more joyful than your average American? It's to do with their faith as well as the culture - Buddhism.

They desire to see how hard people work, the undesirable jobs young folks do to make ends meet etc. My children will go to school in the united kingdom, USA or Australia. We aren't certain yet, but they will have the choice. I aspire to get them each year a Summer job to do once they are about 15. There aren't any chances for students to work here, which is a major drawback to raising teens here.
