Yes, they talk Thai and English. Their father is from Thailand, so it was important for us that they be able to relate to Thailand culture . You need the language to do this. Nevertheless, they're by far more Western than Thai.

Thailand is not cold. On a hot day in somewhere like California, it would be ordinary to see guys walking with their shirts off and girls with bikini tops playing Frisbee in a park. This isn't California. Unless you are by the seashore or in a dedicated tourist zone (that I'll get into later), save yourself the embarrassment and keep your shirt on. The Thais are modest folks. Most girls swim in the ocean wearing, jeans and a T Shirt. Even in the middle of the hot season, pants that are long are worn by most everyone. Why? Since it's image and more small issues. Even short pants, for both women and men, are frowned upon. You can get away with it as a foreigner, but if you prefer to fit in, dress modestly.
