1. Sketch out a rectangle using a pencil and ruler on a piece of thin paper and cut it with scissors.

Hand or machine sew the pieces of rectangle together from the outer edges, stopping about three or four inches from the end of the short or smaller sides of the rectangle.


4. Diagonally trim the four corners close to the stitches. Now, turn the piece from the small gap that you left and poke the four corners into shape using a knitting needle. Press the shape and smooth the seams cautiously using your fingers. Make sure it measures 11.5 inches by 5.5 inches.

5. Hand sew the gaps and tuck the raw edges inside the rectangle. Now, take a short side of this rectangular shape and bend it towards the centre. Pin at the bottom edge and top edge. Repeat the same procedure with the other side.

6. Sew the bottom and the top seams and trim the four outside corners of the achieved rectangular shape.
7. Turn the flaps inside out so that no seam is visible to the holder for a passport. You have complete making the side flaps used for placing the cover and important pages of your passport. However, remember the middle section still have a fabric at the bottom and top.

8. Press the folds of fabric into the inner part of the holder, giving it a straight and neat edge to the bottom and top seams. 9. Pin it and machine sew the seam's middle section. Lastly, trim all the loose ends and you have your holder for a passport ready.
