Each class has an option to heal themselves after a fight. Marines can heal themselves with StimPacks that can be found on the map. You start with two, but you can find a third on the map. The Aliens can heal themselves by hissing. This audible noise does give away your position though so be careful about when you use it. The Predators can cloak themselves which heals at the same time. However, this uses their energy reserve taking away from your ability to use the energy based weapons. Also, the cloak is not completely invisible like the movies. If light shines on the cloak it will glow blue giving away their position.

I haven't made anything between then and Joint Strike Future because I was working on my education. Microsoft announced their XNA development platform back in 2006.
