"Good morning Sarah" Owen said noticing her thin tank top and quickly averting his gaze. Sarah went to the fridge and got out the orange juice, pouring herself a glass. "Did you sleep well?" he asked munching on a pancake. "Not really" she said, perched on the kitchen counter "That couch could be used as a torture device" she said stretching out a kink in her neck.
"I’m sorry about that. As soon as I can manage it I will pick up a guest mattress for you. I leave for work soon, is there anything I can get you before I go?" he kindgirl asked. "The WiFi password?" Sarah asked. "Sorry honey, I don’t have the internet set up yet. She walked into the kitchen and saw him put some waffles in the toaster.
"Those are horrible for you ya know? And fuck me if they don't get half burnt most of the time" she mentioned matter-of-factly. "I can make you some real waffles if you like. Once we get you a waffle iron." Sarah teased, referring to the little selection of kitchen tools to work with. I'll have the ribs and wings deal. I am going to lie down for a bit." said Owen walking to his bedroom.
"Be back soon" she said and left to fetch their dinner. When Sarah got back the house was quiet. "Dad?" she called. Placing the food and his change on the kitchen table Sarah walked over to his room.
